1. The Bible
2 Pet. 1:21 - Holy Men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost
[21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the

2 Tim. 3:16 - All scripture is inspired by God.
[16]All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
Ps. 119:160 - God's word is true from the beginning.

Ps. 12: 6, 7 - God has preserved His word through the centuries.

2. God (A Character of Love)
Ps. 90:2 – From everlasting to everlasting (eternal).
[2] Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from
everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Dan. 2:20 – All powerful and all wise.
[20] Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
Dan. 2:21 – He sets up and takes down kings.
[21] And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom

6. Salvation
1 Jn. 4:8,9 - God is love. Love prompted Him to redeem us.
[8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
[9] In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world,
that we might live through him.
Gen. 1:27-31 - God created human beings in His image.
[27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
[28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon
the earth.

Gen. 3:8 - Sin destroys our fellowship with God so we run from His presence. (Isa. 59:1, 2)
[8] And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his
wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Isa. 59:1,2
[1] Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

Rom. 6:23 - Separated from God we deserve to die eternally.
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom. 3:23 - All have sinned and are under the penalty of death.
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom. 5:18,19 - Adam brought death, Jesus brings life.
[18] Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness
of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
[19] For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made
righteous.
Gal. 3:13 - Jesus bore our curse.
[13] Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every
one that hangeth on a tree:
Heb. 2:8,9 - Jesus experienced death for us.
[8] Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left
nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
[9] But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with
glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
2 Cor. 5:21 - Jesus became sin (took its penalty for us).
[21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Acts 3:19 - As we repent, He forgives.
[19] Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall
come from the presence of the Lord;
1 Jn. 1:9 - As we confess, He pardons.
[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Rom . 8:1 - Receiving Jesus, we are no longer condemned.

Eph. 2:8 - Through grace by faith we are saved .
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Jn. 1:12 - As we receive Him by faith we become sons of God.
[12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on

1 Jn. 5:11-13 - Believing in Him, we receive the gift of eternal life.

Jn. 3:16 - Salvation is a present experience and gift of God for all who believe.

7. Confession and Forgiveness
Mic. 7:18, 19 - God willingly pardons.
[18] Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of
his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
[19] He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their
sins into the depths of the sea.
Heb. 8:12 - God remembers our sins no more.
[12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Acts 3:19 - He blots out our transgressions.
[19] Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall
come from the presence of the Lord;

Neh. 9:17 - Even in our rebellion, He is a God ready to pardon.

and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
Col. 1:14 - Forgiveness is rooted in the very character of God.
[14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Ps. 103:3 - God’s forgiveness is complete. He forgives all of our iniquities.
[3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Lk. 7:47 - He forgives our many sins.
[47] Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven,

5. The Divinity of Christ
Matt. 1:23 - Immanuel “God is with us.”
[23] Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which
being interpreted is, God with us.
Jn. 1:1 - Word was God (verse 14), Word (Jesus) made flesh.
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Jn. 17:5, 24 - Jesus existed with the father before the foundation of this world.
[5] And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
[24] Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory,
which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
Jn. 8:58 - Jesus declared He was the self-existent one – the “I Am,” that He existed before Abraham.
58] Jesus said unto them, Verily,verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Ex. 3:14 - “I Am” is the name of God.
[14] And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel,

Lk. 5:20-24 - Jesus forgave sins, only God can do that.

Jn. 20:28 - Thomas testified that He was both Lord and God.

Heb. 1:5-9 - The Father addresses the Son as God.

Mic. 5:2 - Christ’s goings forth have been from everlasting.

1 Tim. 6:15,16 - Jesus has immortality.

Rev. 1:18 - Jesus is the first and last with keys to the grave.

3. Origin of Evil
1 Jn. 4:8 – God is love.
[8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Matt. 13:24-28 – An enemy of God and man sows evil tares in the field of the world.
[24] Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed
good seed in his field:
[25] But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Isa. 59:1, 2 – Sin separates us from God.
[1] Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

Micah 5:2 - Birthplace – Bethlehem. (Luke 2:1-7)
[2] But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he
come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Lk. 2: 1-7
[1] And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world
should be taxed.
[2] (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
[3] And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
[4] And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is
called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
[5] To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
[6] And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
[7] And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger;

Ps. 55:12, 13- Betrayed by a friend. (Matt. 26:47-50)
[12] For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did
magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
[13] But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.

Zech. 11:12,13 - Betrayed for 30 pieces of silver, money used to buy a Potter’s field. (Matt. 27:3-9)
[12] And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my
price thirty pieces of silver.
[13] And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took
the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
Matt. 27:3-9
[3] Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again
the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
[4] Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
[5] And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
[6] And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is
the price of blood.
[7] And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.
[8] Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
[9] Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver,
the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
Isa. 53:4-7- Led as a lamb to the slaughter. (John 1:29; Acts 8:32-35)
[4] Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and
afflicted.
[5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace
was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
[6] All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the
iniquity of us all.
[7] He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

roaring?

Ps. 34:20 - Not a bone broken. (John 19:36)

Isa. 53:9 - Buried in a rich man’s grave. (Matt. 27:57-60)
